Agricultural equipment and grain handling for Quebec farms
CFI Industries is a Symaga and GSI installer and a custom manufacturer of conveyors and elevators for grain producers, mills and agricultural cooperatives across Quebec. From family farm to commercial storage complex, we design, build, install and maintain durable and reliable grain handling systems.
Why Quebec growers choose CFI
Commercial agriculture in Quebec has evolved: larger volumes, more automation, traceability requirements, margins under pressure. Your storage and handling installations have to keep up. A conveyor that breaks during harvest is a truck waiting, grain degrading, money lost.
We have worked for over 10 years with grain farms, forage producers, independent mills and cooperatives. Our approach: design durable systems with accessible components, size for your real volumes (not sell a capacity you'll never use) and meet our deadlines — especially at peak harvest.
As a Symaga and GSI installer, we install their full range: flat-bottom or hopper-bottom commercial bins, RAD bucket elevators, drag chain conveyors and accessories. But we also fabricate custom solutions in our workshop when your site demands non-standard equipment.

Agricultural sector challenges — and our responses
How much does an installed grain bin cost in Quebec?
An installed Symaga or GSI commercial flat-bottom 10,000-bushel bin ranges from $35,000 to $65,000 depending on options (aeration, drying, instrumentation), site preparation and shipping distance. For an accurate budget, a detailed quote within 24-48 h is free.
What handling capacity do I need?
Rule of thumb: your main elevator should empty your largest truck in 15-20 minutes max. For a farm with 1,200-bushel semi-trailers, plan 4,000-5,000 bushels/hour. Our engineer does the full analysis based on your annual volumes and truck logistics.
Can you respond fast during harvest?
Yes — this is our busiest period and we have planned for it. During September-October, we keep a dedicated emergency crew for agriculture, with critical parts in stock (buckets, motors, bearings). Target response: 4 h Saguenay, 6-8 h Lower St. Lawrence and Montérégie.
Do you offer annual preventive maintenance?
Yes — spring preventive maintenance program available: full inspection, adjustments, lubrication, preventive replacement of wear parts. Ideal May-June before first harvest. Flat fee based on your installation size.
